Description: A beautiful rare antique Mary Gregory hand blown ruffled pitcher ca 1890 for your consideration. This cranberry Bohemian pitcher is hand painted with a renaissance style guardsman trumpeter. He is dressed like a musketeer, with a plumed hat, a cape, gloves, sword, and boots. The pitcher has lovely optic vertical lines, with a crimped ruffled edge. Where the glass handle is attached to the ruffle you can see the scoring mark. The bottom pontil has not been ground down. The ruffled rim has been edged in gold, but much of it has been worn off and you can only see it in some spots. There is a few errant paint specks, one on the handle (see picture) and four specks on the pitcher. The pitcher is 9 1/2 inches tall and 7 3/4 inches spout to handle. This is truly a one of a kind Mary Gregory collectible pitcher. It will enhance any setting or decor.
