Description: A very rare and historic 1901 patent Humphrey gas lamp built by the General Gas Light Co in Kalamazoo Michigan complete with all components needed to run, including all 4 orifice assemblies and screens. This is a fresh estate find that has been off the market for at least 70 years. Came out of basement workshop of a time capsule 1930’s house in Harrison Township MI. I was told this house was owned by a family who ran a butcher shop that was started in 1915 in downtown Detroit MI, and that many of the industrial and antique fixtures came from this no longer existing business. This is a very fragile item that will be packed very carefully in a well padded box with the glass being packed with many layers of protection. This will be insured against any potential damage during shipping. Note: If you purchase this item, be extremely careful assembling it and keep it upright, as it is HELD TOGETHER BY GRAVITY and has heavy metal parts that could break the glass globe.
