RARE 1995 PARKER DUOFOLD CENTENNIAL TIFFANY & CO MANDARIN YELLOW LE FOUNTAIN PEN

Description: For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Rare 1995 Parker Duofold Centennial Tiffany & Co Mandarin Yellow Limited Edition 7230 of 10,000 Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Medium (.74mm) nib. This Parker Duofold comes in the original Limited Edition Duofold boxes and Parker literature. The fountain pen has been gently used but I consider it in Mint condition. The Duofold Mandarin Yellow Limited Edition celebrates Parker’s 125th Anniversary, paying homage to George Parker’s tremendous vision and legacy. The luxuriously yellow resin color was distinctive to the Orient in the 1920s and an inspiration to George Parker. This is the Tiffany & Co version which you can tell by the top medallion and the two end 18K barrel rings - other limited editions will have no rings (on the standard limited editions) or just one ring (on the cloisonne type limited editions). The Duofold Tiffany & Co Fountain Pen is a Centennial-sized Duofold with 18K gold trim (except for the clip) on a mandarin yellow barrel and cap. The top of the cap has the Tiffany & Co medallion embedded in it and the buttend of the barrel has the limited edition medallion that reads, "Parker Duofold Mandarin and limited edition number 7230". When you remove the cap, you will find the 18K Duofold Medium Nib with the Parker arrow and the Parker name engraved on it. The barrel and cap are gorgeous with 18K gold trim (except for the clip). There are no nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs. All of the trim shines brightly with no wear of the gold. The center of the barrel is stamped with, "GEO. S. PARKER PARKER PEN CO. DUOFOLD FOUNTAIN PEN MANDARIN YELLOW, and the limited edition number inside the banner is 7230 / 10,000". The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Parker Duofold is a Centennial Size (largest size. made) that measures 5 3/8" inches in length capped and 6 7/8" posted. The Parker Duofold 18K Solid Gold Nib is marked "M" on the back of the feed for a medium nib point. The Parker nib's writing portion (iridium) measures roughly .74mm, or a medium point when measured with digital calipers. When writing a sample with this nib, it writes with a medium to broad stroke/line. In the writing sample provided, the medium line measures .68mm and will vary to a broad 1.02mm when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample was done with the actual pen in the images that are listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Parker Blue-Black Ink. This fountain pen uses an ink converter and accompanies this fountain pen. It is a Parker-branded ink converter. It will also accept Parker ink cartridges. This Parker Limited Edition Fountain Pen comes with all the original factory boxes and literature, all are in excellent condition with no damage. This Parker Duofold Tiffany & Co Limited Edition Fountain Pen is extremely difficult to find. This limited edition fountain pen is due to the color that George Parker was fascinated with during his trips to the Orient. This modern Limited Edition pays tribute to the vintage examples.
