Description: Rare Early 1900s The Beautiful Butte Valley of California Real Estate For Sale Booklet By California Butte Valley Land Co. San Francisco This is a very rare and scarce piece of ephemera of Butte Valley, California real estate that was for sale by the California Butte Valley Land Co. located at the Union Trust Building in San Francisco, Cal. This piece needs to be preserved for its historical importance. This piece shows how investors were drawn to Butte Valley, California, and how it became populated with some of its early residents. Besides describing the Butte Valley in detail, it describes the costs of real estate lots being offered for sale, the soil for farming, water, climate, types of staple products there, distance to the closest train, and more, it also includes a (real or fictional) letter from Silas Smith by Eph. Brubaker. We have been unable to locate a second piece like this undated booklet, but from some internet research, we believe it is from 1905. It is a soft cover bound by staples, and it is 14 pages. ****There are some stains on the front and back covers with a tear in the upper left edge. It has some foxing inside. Please view all the provided photos closely as they are part of the description. Each photo will enlarge when clicked on for a more detailed view. This item is posted and managed courtesy of Bonanza
