Description: This is a nifty post card sent on April 4, 1904, from Yokohama, Japan, to Rome, Italy, by an Italian sailor serving aboard the Italian warship, Regia Nave Puglia! The Puglia, was a Regioni-class, protected cruiser commissioned in 1901. To continue, outside of part of its top, right side having been removed at some point, the red, 2-Cent, Italian issue is in pretty good condition. The CDS from the Puglia nearly complete, but quite light/faded in places. The mail appears to have arrived in Rome, Italy, around May 7(?), 1904. Originally, there was also a gray, 0.5-Sen, Japanese definitive attached to the front(and cancelled at Yokohama). At some point, it was removed. Lastly, as for the post card, itself, it's in relatively good condition. It does have some stains/toning on either side. And, there is some wear and tear around the edges of the card. Noted imperfections aside, this post card remains a neat piece of Royal Italian Naval postal history sent in 1904 from the protected cruiser, Puglia, while it was in Japan!
