His industrial/government experience includes a position as a development engineer for Union Carbide Corporation, Nuclear Division and a summer faculty fellowship at the NASA Langley Research Center. Widely published and highly decorated, Dr. Gibson is an elected fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Society for Advancement of Material and Process Engineering, and American Society for Composites.
