It fits in an approximately 2 9/16" hole with mounting "U" bracket . It has a 1/8" female pipe thread brass back connection As you can see in the photos it was made by the United States Gauge Co for the military . it was packaged 70 years ago for overseas . These are progressive pictures of the packaging process . The gauge you receive is packaged like this . There is duct tape covering the glass face . It can be peeled off but there is glue residue on the glass . It cleans up easily with a solvent cleaner .
