These cameras are scientific grade used in astronomy on telescopes and science on microscopes as well as other uses. The G1 indicates the camera has less than 6 bad pixels. This camera is bare of accessories like the power supply and shutter, but is tested and works well. I have a many of these, so I will swap with another if it does not function for you. A typical interface card is the Roper 01-376-001 (-002, -003, -004...). I read of a USB product to mount the KAF chip that sounded interesting. The internet is your friend. The Operators Manual with all specs and details are available on the web. Photometrics has all the software to operate these cameras available online.
