BIOGRAPHY: Paul Terry (1887–1971) was an American newspaper cartoonist, comic book artist, animator, screenwriter, film director and one of the most prolific film producers in history. He produced over 1,300 cartoons between 1915 and 1955 including the Aesop Film Fables and the Terrytoons series. In addition to his film work, Terry was also a copious creator of countless comic characters, such as Mighty Mouse and Heckle & Jeckle. Starting in the Platinum Age of comic books and going straight until the Bronze Age, Terry and his staff located in New Rochelle, NJ were responsible for the production of thousands of comic book titles with the majority being published by Dell Comics.
