Description: Passenger Car Interior KIT for the Rivarossi 85ft Smooth-Side Observation CarMiscellaneous Railroad Company 35Obs-RivSS-b This KIT features 2 two-person suites, a 3 person compartment, a 2 person compartment, and a bar with 4 bar stools and the observation area. The 2 passenger suites feature 2 full bathrooms with showers, shower doors and 2 double sleeping passengers. The suite “beds” are the flat rectangles in the suites. The KIT has 2 pieces (to be glued together to create the interior), 2 translucent shower doors, and 2 double sleeping passengers. (Lead sheet is not included with the kit.) There are notches in the floor to fit around the protrusions and the roof/window latches. TEST FIT BEFORE GLUEING!! “Super Glue” works well; please read warning below. Align the parts with a ruler to keep them straight while gluing. Paint the interior, the sleeping people and install other “passengers” before installation. The shower doors are installed on the inside surface of the showers. The seats are low, to allow for the installation of an LSW beneath the interior floor for car weight. The passenger’s feet have to be trimmed. Standing people should have their feet trimmed also because the floor is high. LSW078 is recommended for weight because it clears the window locking tabs. (You still have to mark and punch out the holes for the 4 “pips” and truck screws.) Bond the completed interior to the previously installed LSW078 with automotive weather stripping adhesive. Note: “Gift-Wrap” tape on the inside of lavatory windows creates a nice frosty looking window.Warning! Do not install the interior in the passenger car sooner than 12 hours after using “Super Glue”. Cyanoacrylate adhesives release fumes that will attack and mar your windows and other surfaces.I attempt to provide the most accurate description possible. My intention is to prevent any surprises.
