Description: Passenger Car Interior KIT for the Rivarossi 85ft Heavy-Weight Duplex Sleeping CarMiscellaneous Railroad Company 16Duplex-RivHW This KIT features 16 duplex two-person compartments, and a lavatory. Sixteen double sleeping passengers are included (un-painted). (Lead sheet is not included with the kit.) The “beds” are the flat rectangles in the compartments. The lower level passengers sleep parallel to the car and have a luggage closet (hidden) The upper level passengers sleep perpendicular to the car length and have a luggage shelf. The KIT has 2 pieces to be glued together to create the interior. TEST FIT BEFORE GLUEING!! There may be a little filing, trimming or sanding needed. “Super Glue” works well; please read warning below. Align the parts with a ruler to keep them straight while gluing. There are holes in the floor to fit around the protrusions. The interior fits into the duplex sleeper only the correct way. Paint the interior and the sleeping people and install them before installation. The beds are low, to allow for the installation of an LSW beneath the interior floor for car weight. Any standing passenger’s feet should be trimmed. LSW078 is recommended for weight. (You still have to mark and punch out the holes for the 3 “lugs” and truck screws.) Bond the completed interior to the previously installed LSW078 with automotive weather stripping adhesive. Interior length = 10 inches The project car has 9 inches of LSW078 installed and weighs 7.9 ounces with Walthers 36inch wheels in the original trucks.
