Description: A pair of antique 19th century paintings on porcelain plaques, mounted in beautiful old wood frames. One of the paintings is after George Romney's 'Serena Reading' but I'm unsure of the title of the other. I bought these paintings from a local museum here outside Philadelphia that was selling some of its collection to fund a major purchase. The actual porcelain plaques are just over 7.75 inches long and approximately 6.25 inches wide. The frames are approximately 12 inches by 10.25 inches. The plaques are in excellent condition, the old wood frames have some minor wear and dings, and the inner black frames (which are also wood) both have a little split and the bottom (the tip of the pen is pointing to these). One frame is missing the paper backing and the plaque is only held into the frame by some old tape which is coming loose, and additionally one side of the hanging loop is loose. Please see the photos for details. Thank you for looking! pf Track Page Views With Auctiva's Counter
