Description: This exceptional matching pair of vintage mid century Danish modern storage cabinets designed by Christian Hvidt for Soborg Mobler were made in Denmark circa 1960. Impeccably crafted from teak wood, the cabinets feature multi-tone shades of wood with distinctive dovetail joinery detailing along the outer cabinet edges. Each unit has a smaller step back upper hutch that opens on storage and a spacious locking lower cabinet with two adjustable and removable shelves. One cabinet has replacement fixed shelf holders and removable replacement shelves have been custom made (not shown in photos). Both cabinets have fully finished interiors and each cabinet consists of three pieces - upper step-back hutch, lower cabinet and cabinet base - for more convenient transport and storage. Original minimalist solid brass handles and one working key per cabinet. This uniquely proportioned, versatile and functional pair is perfect for home or office; use as storage cabinets, bookcases, china cabinets or bar cabinets, etc. Original Soborg Mobler stickers on back. CONDITIONExcellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some surface scratches typical with normal use over time. Original working cabinet key included.
