Description: 80% Break-In compound is designed to smooth out/lapping the final fit between semi-auto slides and rails of your pistol frame. Also works for rifle bolts and receiver raceways or any other application where a super-close fit or silky smooth mechanism is desired. Comes in 600 grit aluminum oxide abrasive embedded in long lasting petroleum water soluble base. Fast and easy cleanup using just soap and water. Aluminum oxide crystals are designed to be smooth and rounded so they won't embed and continue to wear your parts after cleanup. Instructions:Apply with a q-tip style applicator to the rails of your unloaded pistol frame. Attach the slide (making sure it is unloaded) and rack/cycle the action 25 times. Disassemble and reapply. Repeat this process three times for a total of 100 cycles of the slide. Once complete, remove the slide, clean both your frame and slide rails with soap and water or cleaner making sure to remove all of the 80% break-in compound completely. 80% break-n compound is NOT A LUBRICANT and is NOT designed to be left on the firearm. Once cleaned off completely, then oil as instructed by manufacturer of your firearm. The 80% break-in compound has the same desired result as firing 500 rounds, which breaks in the action of the two metal surfaces (slide and frame rails), however it's much less expensive. The purpose of 80% break-in is to remove the gritty feeling of a brand new slide and frame build. The result is the two surfaces (slide rails and frame rails), will be smoother.
