Description: Cool four page menu from Lau Yee Chai Restaurant in Honolulu Hawaii. 1930s-40s. P.Y. Chong opened the original Lau Yee Chai in downtown in 1929, then built the elaborate one ("World's Most Beautiful Chinese Restaurant") on Kuhio Ave. in the middle 1930s. In 1932 he moved his restaurant to Hotel Street. After that closed in the late '40s he worked as a chef at more than one place, and he died in 1959. 8 ½” x 9 ¾” and 4 pages. One page in food, two for drinks, and the last page is the story of P Y Chong. Mild general wear. See scans.
