Opus Terracotta Natural Wonders Sun Thermometer 12.5 In Pre-owned See Note Flaw

Description: This lovely thermometer weighs 4 lb 2.2 oz and is ready to hang. It does have one flaw however: it appears that the opening on the back to adjust it has been damaged when someone attempted to open it. Please see photo. I did not attempt to open it myself so there is a possibility that this part may need to be replaced. I do not see any cracks or chips in the terracotta. It is approximately 12.5 in in diameter and 1.25 in front to back. We are a smoke-free home but we do have pets. Thanks for looking!
