The cup and lid are in lovely antique condition. As you will see from the photographs the cover is formed with 8 large moonstones around the base connected with weave design (in fish shape) wire work. From the base a diamond cut pattern spire elevates to house a cherub standing on top of 4 gothic church type window frames with roofs. The body of the cup has strap work with rivets running around the near bottom & top circumferences of the cup, connected with 4 columns of similar strap work. At the vertical and circumference strapwork intersections there are 8 additional moonstones. Their is light hammer work throughout the cup, making it a stunning piece of arts & crafts design work. There are no inscriptions on the cup. Cup measurements and features. The lid of the cup weighs 441 gr (Silver hallmarks as seen on picture 4) London, 1931, Omar Ramsden)The cup itself weighs 1866 gr but has no hallmark, so expect it is silverplate.Total weight of cup 2,307 gr or 74.17 tr oz.The cup stands just over 52cm in hight.Has 16 large moonstones.
