Prevent treble loss when you roll back the volume for greater clarity and cut through at reduced volume levels. The Obsidian® '60's Plus' wiring is made for clarity and cut through with an improved circuit that will help you retain treble at all volume levels. The Obsidian® Custom SC for Les Paul® gives you greater tonal diversity, through the power of inbuilt coil splitting switches. The upgrade comes with sturdy solder-less connectors, so it can be installed by anyone. WHAT IS COIL SPLITTING? Humbuckers are built with two coils of tightly wound copper, for low noise, and high output. Coil splitting cuts the link between the two coils, so we can play with one half of the humbucker. This essentially gives us a single coil, for traditional Strat® or Telecaster® sounds.
