Description: These are 2 beautiful Northwest Coast ( Tsimshian or Tlingit) model totem poles. They date from the early 20th century (1920s / 1930s). One totem has an Eagle at the top; the other has a Thunderbird....and other totemic animals below them. They look much better in person!!! Some illegible words on the old label pasted on the back of one totem. The year 1921 is visible. The cedar wood have a beautiful dark brown hue and some surface patina. Both are unsigned. They are wonderful specimens!!! ***Selling as a pair. Measurements: The larger totem's height, not including base, is 22.5 inches; width at the widest area (the killer whale) is 2.25 inches. The other totem pole's height is 18.5 inches (not including base); the Thunderbird's wingspan is 9.5 inches. *** Cost of shipping the the pair is $100 -- to anywhere in North America.
