Description: This is a Southern hand-thrown and hand-glazed pottery piece made from dark red clay, probably North Carolina. In a basket shape, it has a two-tone tannish-yellow and rusty brown matte glaze all over the exterior and interior very typical of the Southern potteries. It is about 4-1/2 inches tall to the top of the handle, 5 inches wide, and 3 inches across front-to-back. The footed base is about 2 inches in diameter. Age is unknown. It is in very good condition with no chips, hairlines, or crazing. Ships USPS.
