Description: Up for sale is a very great old French to German Dictionary. It was published by Philippe Jacques Dannbach. No date on this copy but it is circa 1782 as that is when Dannbach published a two volume set, one French to German the other German to French. This is only the French to German Volume and it lacks a title page. Book is in Fair - / Acceptable + condition. On the plus side the pages are generally clean, the volume is intact, binding is still fairly solid and there are no marjor rips or tears or missing pieces. On the downside there is heavy wear to the boards, the leather in the spine is missing the top third and the rest is work. The actual front and rear boards are cardboard of some sort and what use to cover them is now gone. There is staining to the a number of pages in the interior although text is generally still visible. There are also some rips to front end pages and the page that has the abbreviations. This is the second volume (as opposd to the other way German to French) so I am not positive there ever was a title page . In any case this volume begins with a couple blank end pages and then a page that states "Signification des Abreviations". This page has a decent amount of damage to it including the bottom piece ripped off and a nother hole. Again though, once you hit the actual pages of the dictionary it is in decent shape. Please email with questions and see my store for other great items. International buyers note shipping. This is a heavy item that will need to go priority.
