Description: Welcome to my listing for:New York & Pennsylvania Ry 1917 "Large" Half Fare Ticket Whitesville, NY #2309 Has a large bottom right corner HARD fold crease - may detach easily The New York and Pennsylvania Railroad 1894-1917 (for passenger service) was plagued in its latter years by multiple 1916-17 flooding damages, which also affected service for several large nearby businesses that, in turn depended on the line for freight business and eventually went out of business, which combined with the ever depleting volume of lumber, coal and other natural resources, it was announced on 11/30/17 the suspension of all operations would go into effect the following day. Although afterwards, some of the freight service was restored, the entire operation ended in 1935. December 1, 1917 was the end of passenger service and are from the final months just before the end of passenger service.On light card stock with color security art underprint. Showing only minor signs of wear and handling consistent with its age. May have fold creases. No major issues to note. Will display well in your collection.
