Description: The DBMX line of Gast Pumps have a long-lasting, heavy-duty diaphragm. The unit runs cooler due to its large housing dissipates the heat and the coil does not generate as much heat because the wattage is lower. It is able to use a lower wattage coil because it uses an efficient rare earth magnet in the activating arm. Heat is the main killer for air compressors, and using both the efficient rare earth magnet and a lower wattage coil decreases heat and extends life. For applications requiring extremely quiet and highly efficient operation and simple maintenance, Gast's oil-less Linear pumps have found widespread use in the medical, industrial, chemical, environmental, and scientific industries. Performance ranges from .39 to 8.9 cfm (11 to 252 lpm), pressures to 10.5 psig (0.72 bar), vacuum levels to 12.1 in. Hg (603 mbar), with an operating noise level as low as 28 dB(a).Specifications for this model:Max Flow (50 Hz) 3.3 cfm (95 lpm)Max Flow (60 Hz) 3.4 cfm (96 lpm)Max Pressure6.2 / 6.3 psi (.43 / .44 bar)Max VacuumNA (NA)Power Rating71 Watts (71 Watts) Oil-lessLong LifeLow Noise LevelHigh EfficiencyCompact and PowerfulThe most common problem with this and other large air pumps is premature tearing of the diaphragms because of excessive back pressure. People don't tend to understand how much air the large sized pumps produce. If an air pump is powering too small of a diffuser or too few outlets, excessive pressure can occur. The solution is to add a tee with a ball valve so that excessive air can be bled off into the atmosphere. Start with the ball valve open and slowly close it until you have the maximum output from your air diffusers without unnecessary back pressure. **Valve sold separately or can be found at any hardware store** Pump only clean, dry air.• Operate at 40ºF - 104ºF (4.4ºC - 40ºC)• Protect unit from dirt and moisture.• Do not pump flammable or explosive gases or use in an atmosphere that contains such gases.• Corrosive gases and particulate material will damage unit. Water vapor, oil-based contaminants or other liquids must be filtered out.• Oil-less compressors require NO lubricationThe range of medium capacity DBMS60 and DBMS80 models offer up to 118 LPM, while the large DBMX80, DBMX100, DBMX120, DBMX150 and DBMX200 models offer up to 280 LPM.On many models the only moving parts are an actuating rod supported by two special synthetic rubber diaphragms, which ensures reliable continuous operation up to a minimum of 30,000 hours. As there are no sliding parts, operation is lubrication free, ensuring that exhausted air is always uniform, clean and particle-free. Other than the occasional filter cleaning, operation is virtually maintenance-free.With over 30 models offering capacities from 12.5 LPM to 280 LPM, Gast’s linear compressor and vacuum pump line-up can be specified for a vast range of applications - CHECK out our store for other options!Environmental uses include monitoring and air sampling; aquaculture for fish farming ponds; and aeration for fish or lobster tanks in pet shops or restaurants.Ecological functions include aeration of ponds and lakes. Home aerobic sewage treatment.
