Description: This is a multi-signature Maxfli golf cap signed by NASCAR drivers and owners. The most prominent signature is of ‘The King”, Richard Petty. Owner signatures are from Jack Rousch and Ray Evernham. Driver signatures are from Joy Washington, Steve Park, Dick Trickle, Bobby Allison, Jim Fettick, Jeff Burton, and Bobby Labonte. I’ve included the original piece of paper I used the write the names on as they signed the hat. My uncle was with Safety-Kleen and I was able to go the races and walk around the pits as a guest of them. Richard Petty signed the hat one evening when I went for a walk from the hotel to the Dairy Queen a short distance away. He was sitting on a curb barefoot, jeans, long sleeve shirt and of course his feather bearing cowboy hat. Lucky for me, I had my marker and was wearing this hat.In all the years I went to races I’ve only seen him without a hat when he was changing from one hat to another. Same with Jack Rousch. His green Cadillac trunk was full of hat boxes with all different hats.
