Description: NASA Space Shuttle Flight Data BoxPilot Side ( Aft )PN - V070-650270-003SN - ER7692 Sale is for one Flight Data Box from the Space Shuttle Program in very nice condition. These boxes were permanently mounted to the right of the Pilot's seat or Commander's, and were used to store a compliment of mission files like checklists, nav logs, charts, checklists, grease pencils etc. These were used in the earlier shuttle years, and were eventually replaced with lighter cloth stowage bags. This box has 3 blue velcro patches for attaching items in orbit. These blue velcro patches were added by technicians in the orbiter before a mission. There is a small section on the lid with paint missing. It was most likely caused from removing crew preference velcro that was affixed before a mission, then removed afterwards. This locker is wrapped in protective mylar plastic with Kapton tape , and has NASA "Serviceable Label - Material" parts tag with information filled out. There is a NASA Inventory decal affixed, and a NASA "Uncontrolled Hardware" Decal filled out and attached as well. NO INTERNATIONAL ORDERS FOR THIS SALE.
