NASA Space Program Nikon AF-S 12-24mm f/4.0G ED SWM DX Zoom Camera Lens

Description: Originally built specifically for and purchased by NASA for space flight use making it a somewhat rare lens. NASA purchased a small number of these for use on the Space Shuttle and/or Space Station. NASA required the lenses on it's purchase order be manufactured from one lot, necessitating a custom order. Very fine condition and well maintained by NASA. It was stored by NASA under controlled conditions from 2007 to 2022. Lens glass is clean, and free of fungus, haze, scratches, cleaning marks. Many lenses on its order were never used as NASA switched to the Nikon FX format cameras a short time after purchase. Includes a rear lens cap. We will add a NASA front lens cap, although this lens did not have one when purchased directly from NASA. Nikon USA s/n 341295.
