Description: This Mikasa Garden Club 12-inch chop plate or round platter is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, or crazing. I cannot see any utensil marks, so if they are present, they are very faint. This round platter has the appearance of having been gently used and carefully stored (see photos). Mikasa introduced the Garden Club pattern in 1976 and discontinued its manufacture in 1983. Mikasa's Garden Club collection of dinnerware includes this version which does not have a decal as well as several patterns that use the Garden Club pattern and decorate it with a variety of decals, for example, strawberries, flowers, etc. This round platter has a rim shape with a tan band decorating the rim. Otherwise, the platter features a creamy colored surface with darker speckles throughout. This round platter is referenced as a 12-inch platter, but it measures 12 1/2 inches in diameter from rim to rim. It weighs approximately 2 1/2 pounds, and the shipping weight will be four pounds.
