An invitation with RSVP card for a commemoration for the recently assassinated president. The commemorative address was to be delivery by Charles Emory Smith at a joint session of the New York Senate and Assembly on March 4th, 1902. Eventually a tribute would be published "Proceedings of the Senate and Assembly of the State of New York on the life, character and public services of William McKinley: March 4, 1902" which ran 66 pages.
