Description: UPGRADED LISTING! Issue #1 has been improved to a copy graded VG- 3.5. Marvel Collectors' Item Classics #1-22 FULL RUN of Silver Age reprints from 1965-1969. Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Stan Lee, & other creators. There's even a pin-up from a young Barry (Windsor) Smith. Very Good to Good condition. I'd say 14 of the issues are in the VG range, and the other 8 are in the GD range, although issue #9 should be knocked down to FR/GD due to spine splits. Grading is subjective so please see pics & read description to make an informed purchase, and ask if you need to see more pics. The front & back cover to each issue is shown side by side from high quality scans to help you make your own judgment. See full breakdown for each issue's condition. Amazing Spider-Man #3-4.The Watcher stories from Tales of Suspense #47, #49-51, #53, #55-56. When I say a comic appears to be in the Very Good (VG) range, I believe it could grade roughly 3.0 to 5.0.When I say a comic appears to be in the Good (GD) range, I believe it could grade roughly 1.8 to 3.0. I'd say issue #9 is a 1.5. #1 - Graded Very Good Minus (VG-) by reputable dealer: Some spine stress and edge wear to covers. Fore edge corners show some creasing. Minor soiling shows on back cover. #2 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range (Purchased as Very Good/Fine (VG/FN) from an eBay seller with 100% feedback): 1/4" spine split at bottom binding corner. Cover has small numbers written in red ink running 3/8" x 5/8". #3 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range: Numbers stamped at top of front cover, 4 digits running 7/8". Appears to have never been stapled at the top, but the book is tight and solid because of the way these books were glued together. #4 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range: Faint black ink transfer on back cover from another comic. Light foxing near top of inside back cover. #5 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range: 1/2" spine split at top of front cover #6 - Appears in the Good (GD) range: Small holes to front cover at the top of both staples. Top hole is 1/8" and bottom hole is just the size of a pin hole. 3/8" spine split at bottom of front cover with corresponding color-breaking crease across the bottom of the cover. Color breaking creasing down left side of front cover along spine. Light soiling to back cover. #7 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range: 1/4" spine split at top of cover and slight split at bottom of front cover (<1/8"). Numbers neatly written at top of front cover running 3/4" x 1/4". Light soiling to white cover. Light creases or bends from typical reading. #8 - Appears in the Good (GD) range: 3/8" spine split to bottom of back cover. Color breaking creasing down left side of front cover along spine. Minor to moderate soiling to back cover. #9 - Should grade Fair/Good (FR/GD) just due to spine splits: 4" spine split at top of front cover and 1 1/4" split at bottom of comic, front and back cover. Page 1 also has 4" split at top and staple tear. Not bad condition otherwise. #10 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range (Purchased as Very Good (VG) from mycomicshop): 3/8" spine split to bottom of back cover. 1/4" spine split at top of front cover with adjacent 3 1/4" color-breaking crease along top of front cover. #11 - Appears in the Good (GD) range: 3/4" spine split at bottom of back cover. 7/8" inset tear to back cover around spine. #12 - Appears in the Good (GD) range: Original owner wrote name on front cover (1" x 3/4" on Doom's fist) and top margin of page 1. Color breaking creasing down left side of front cover along spine. 1/8" piece missing from bottom left corner of front cover and spine. #13 - Appears in the Good (GD) range (Purchased from Pittsburgh's oldest comic shop as Good (GD)): 5/8" spine split at bottom & and missing 1/2" piece of spine there (THIS WOULD BE A MAIN REASON IT'S ONLY GOOD). Staple tears on first page. Back cover has pencil writing neatly at the top: "4 G" #14 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range: 1/8" piece of cover missing from bottom of spine. 1/2" inset tear to cover in this area also. #15 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range, perhaps Good/Very Good (GD/VG): top of comic separated from spine glue 1 1/2". 1/8" hole in back cover along the bottom staple. #16 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range: Light wear to corners and edges. #17 - Appears in the Good (GD) range (Purchased from Pittsburgh's oldest comic shop as Good (GD)): 1/2" x 1/8" piece missing from bottom right corner of the front cover, and moderate wear around edges of cover. 3/8" split at bottom front cover. 6" crease along top right corner of front cover #18 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range: Light wear to corners and edges. #19 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range (Purchased from Pittsburgh's oldest comic shop as Very Good (VG)): Back cover has 2 1/8" tears at left side near bottom. #20 - Appears in the Good (GD) range: 1" spine split at top of front cover and creasing to front cover along spine #21 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range: 1/4" spine split at top of front cover and 1/2" split at bottom. #22 - Appears in the Very Good (VG) range (Purchased from Pittsburgh's oldest comic shop as Very Good (VG)): Back cover has pencil writing neatly at the top: "8 VG".
