Description: ***********************Location Bottom Drawer****************** Manuel Felguerez (1928-2020), Mexican folk artist. Listing is for an older sculpture on wood base, a boy and girl on a see-saw (works, has a handle and spring), welded metal with paper mache. This is double signed by the artist, both the girl and boy are signed, see 3rd and 4th photos.Wood base measuring almost 13" by over 4 1/2", 7/8" thick, has a chip by one corner, shown in photo of bottom. With the see-saw being level, tallest point is almost 11 1/2" to top of boy's head, the sculpture itself is 13 3/4" wide, and weighs 3 3/4 pounds. The 12 oz soda can is for illustrating size, not included in the sale. Both heads of hair show powdery like looking surface rust, little signs of rust elsewhere. Few minor paint nicks. Paint in VG condition, few issues, no peeling, may or may not have some tiny paint specks missing, I think this one is an original, not a factory "Arte Felguerez", which are designed by him, but crafted by employees, as he opened a factory of some sort, my understanding. I bought this about 15 years ago from an estate sale. Considering age, overall in VG, or better, used condition, see details in photos. See photos for more details. Thank you for viewing.
