Description: LOT OF FIFTY (50) THIN ALUMINA STRIP SUBSTRATE CHEMICAL STIRRING MIXING STICKS No.: 19You are bidding on a Lot of Fifty (50) Thin Alumina Ceramic Substrate Strip Chemical Stirring Mixing Sticks. These are in excellent being NOS (New Old Stock). They are made from 96% purity Aluminum Oxide (Al2O3) which of course is Alumina. Generally the balance of composition for this purity Alumina material is of Silicon Dioxide (SiO2) which is Silica. This material has very high hardness, very high stiffness, very good corrosion resistance to chemicals at high temperature, and very high refractoriness or use temperature. They should be used only for mixing liquids of lower viscosity only. They are chemically inert to acids and bases.They may be used for a variety of electrical, mechanical, and thermal applications. They are great for firing sample in a high temperature kiln. The may be slumped at 3100 F (1700 C). They are sufficiently thin to use as diffusers of light. The are great for both electronic substrates or sculptural works of art. They may also be used for jewelry or for applications requiring high wear or abrasion resistance.
