More Information(i) Note they have a wired earth, no poxy chassis earth-return.(ii) Red lights are usually set up as double-filament bases, with double-contacts on bottom of the 5/21w bulbs, and have the staggered pins, and are usually for tail/brake in 6v and 12v(iii) Amber lights are usually set up as single-filament bases, with single-contacts on bottom of the 21w bulbs, and have the even-pins, and are usually for indicators in 6v and 12v(iv) Clear has several variations that will be discussed after… like indicator only, indicator/park, park only (park-only uses a free special 5watt bulb… same base) in 6v and 12v (v) Clear lens + amber globe can only be an indicator and only 12 volt(vi) Clear lens + red globe can only be an brake-tail and only 12 volt..(vii) See also the number plate lights I have in varying qualities. Dimensions The glass lens showing is 54mm diameter. The chrome ring is 65mm diameter. The black rubber is 73mm diameter. The depth going back is about 70mm for the 488 rubbers, and about 50mm for the 594 rubbers.The hole to fit is about 30mm. The last 3 photos show lights on a real car. (Note the dark amber colour in this photo is no longer available.) If you don’t want to cut holes in the body of an early car, but want flashers for safety, then another way is to under-sling a chrome or black plate from the bumper. In this way , you avoid rear-end collisions, but have not permanently “changed” the car. You could even make them a temporary-fit under-sling with a cable, plug and socket, so it can be removed and the car stays original at the show, but is safe for driving. (you have to be crazy to drive without flashing indicators... in a split-second, some daydreamer on their mobile, will drive up your arse and all your work will be down the crapper) To look for items in my shop, the easiest way is to save any one of MY 2400 items in your watchlist...
