Description: Leitz collapsible 5cm f/2 Summicron SOOIC M39 screwmount with caps. 1952 production with Lantanum glass front element pre 105xxxx serial number. The glass has an internal ring of haze which can be seen in the photos. What is this from? Probably the lubrication off-gassing. The front element has very small minor cleaning marks which is common with these lenses, but nothing that would prevent usage. The lens barrel is ever so slightly loose in the focusing mount. I consider it inconsequential as the lens locks up securely in the shooting position, but I mention it in the spirit of accuracy. The focusing ring turns smoothly. The aperture ring turns smoothly. The focusing scale is in feet. The lens is clean cosmetically.
