The live-action Spider-Man movie was released in 2002, and LEGO released a set tied to the movie before the current Marvel Comics set was released. I think this set is a recreation of one of the scenes from the movie version of Spider-Man, which starts in front of the library in the middle of the movie, where they are chasing the robbers who took Uncle Ben's car.
