Description: A brand new unused JCA22H 20W vacuum tube guitar amplifier head. Clean/crunch and overdrive channels. Tube driven effects loop. Perhaps the most important thing; designed by Mike Soldano. The 20W output is from two EL84 power tubes with 5-12AX7 preamp tubes (one may be providing the effects drive). The constructions is solid with a 16 gauge steel chassis and 3/4 inch fine-ply hardwood cab. Most importantly it sounds great. Your choice of speakers will influence the ultimate sound, but the amp has a huge range from clean to extreme overdrive. I don't play guitar due to a broken hand many years ago. I build classic style vacuum tube guitar amps as "Club Amplifiers". In 2015 I bought this JCA head to see how Mike Soldano builds his amps. Soldano (not Jet City) used transformers built by Bud Purvine (O'Netics' Transformers) and so did/do I. I wanted to check out his work without buying a SLO100. I've taken the chassis out of the case to look at the layout then returned it to it's original state. It's been turned on to listen to it, but never gigged. Roughly 20 minutes of total operation. This is as original and unused as you can get. It hasn't been touched since 2015 except to take the pictures for this ad and hasn't been turned on since 2015. I had a stroke in 2016 and things have just been sitting. If you need a cab to go with this head please contact me. I have Club Amplifier cabs in 1x15, 2x10 and 2x12 configurations. Some have speakers already loaded, some are empty. I only sell through eBay. I don't ship instantly. I will ship promptly in the original box.
