JBL DD55000 PROJECT EVEREST SPEAKERS, Very rare, incredible sound and looks!

Description: This is a pair of incredibly rare JBL Everest DD55000 speakers. These were created by JBL to be statement speakers. They are VERY sought after and extremely hard to find in the USA. The previous owner owned and thoroughly enjoyed these for the past 15 years. The Everests are incredibly impressive in person. When you walk in a room and see them for the first time you think, "Damn!" Photos don't do them justice. The design is unique, the cabinets are massive, and the sound is heavenly. These Everest have all their original drivers and are working perfectly. I removed one of the back covers for the photos so you can see the midrange horn and crossover network. When I purchased the Everests, one woofer had a 1/4" tear in the front of the cone. I had this expertly repaired, and it will never be an issue. As can be seen in the photos, the cabinets have water damage at the top and bottom. I always intended to repair this, but instead I just enjoyed them the way that they are. I have priced the Everests several thousand dollars less than the normal price that they typically sell for to reflect the cabinet issues. This will give the new owners the opportunity to buy them for much less than normal and to do the repairs, if they wish.
