Description: This hardcover book titled "Jazz A•B•Z: An A to Z Collection of Jazz Portraits" features 26 artist illustrations by Paul Rogers with additional illustrations by Phil Schaap. The book, published by Candlewick Press in 2005, is a First Edition and has 76 pages. It is written in English and authored by Wynton Marsalis. The book is perfect for children who are interested in learning more about jazz music and the people who have made it famous. Although this is a stamped “Withdrawn” book from the Rockport Public Library in Massachusetts it is in great condition with the artwork looking untouched. Probably the kids were not interested in Jazz artists preferring Taylor Swift and Rap. The artist portraits would look amazing if they were framed and hung on the wall. The only flaw to that is there are a couple of Portraits that have another Portrait on the back side of the same page however most are on their own page. It covers a wide range of topics, including African American musicians, jazz poetry, and biographies of famous artists. This ex-library copy is a great addition to any collection and is sure to provide hours of entertainment and education.
