Owned by the Kyoto Kimono Store'Noshi-me' is a pattern used for celebrating boys at the age of 5 during the 'Hakamagi no Gi' ceremony. It is worn by boys for events like 'Omijire' (first shrine visit) or 'Shichi-Go-San' (a traditional rite of passage). The 'Noshi-me' pattern consists of a design that extends horizontally from the chest to the waist on the body and at the lower part of the sleeves.Originally, it was a design for the kimono worn underneath the samurai's 'hakama'. When used for celebrating boys, the 'Noshi-me' pattern is often adorned with auspicious symbols like treasure ships, mallets, pine, bamboo, and plum (Shochikubai), as well as motifs such as hawks, helmets, and war drums, all representing aspects of a boy's life. The blacked-out area on the cover contains the name of a Kyoto kimono store.Size: 27.5 cm×15cm× 1.5cm *approximately Please purchase the product at your own discretion, considering its value and condition.
