Japan coin YAMAGATA Prefecture 500 yen BIMETALLIC Coin 2014 Card Pack Jomon

Description: Thank you for seeing. The 60th Anniversary of Enforcement of the Local Autonomy Law (YAMAGATA) 500 yen Bicolor Clad Coin. The surface of the coin depicts a clay figurine from the Jomon period. Clay figurines are one of the representative relics of the Jomon period, and are clay products shaped like people or animals. The specific purpose of clay figurines is not clear, but since most of them have been found in broken pieces, it is thought that they may have a deep connection with sorcery and rituals. The clay figurine at the Nishinomae ruins is the largest existing clay figurine in Japan, measuring 45 centimeters in height, and is a fully restored clay figurine representing the Jomon period both academically and morphologically.
