The strands end with silver cones as they meet the clasp. The largest of turquoise measures about 7mm Sterling silver. The length of the necklace measures around 19"inches long Sturdy 38.1 grams. Running Bear is a wholesale source to stores and dealers. Items in this collection were made specifically by or for Running Bear and (usually) have their logo. Items bearing this logo do not represent a specific artist Royston Turquoise comes from a group of mines in Nevada, which includes Bunker Hill mine, Oscar Wehrend, and Royal Blue. High grade Royston is a very hard, collectible material, with an amazing color range. Royston comes in light blue to dark blue, anda full range of deep mossy greens. The matrix will have various shades of brown. Today the mining district is still producing turquoise. Lynn Otteson has been mining Royston Turquoise since 1958, and today Tom and Danny Otteson still mine this district.
