Harley 4012 Sportster XLCH KR KRTT Oil Tank Front Mount Bolt Kit 1953-67 CP-1038

Description: You are purchasing one set of two (2) USA-made oil tank to front bracket mounting bolts and associated hardware for Harley-Davidson 1953 to 1969 competition K models, KR, KRHM, KRTT, etc. equipped with horseshoe oil tanks. Also fits 1958-1965 XLCH models. Does NOT fit XLH models. This is to mount the tank to the front mounting bracket which secures the tank to the top of the motor case on models using the horse shoe oil tank. We stock the bracket for these as well as the rest of the mounting hardware on other listings in our store. Bolts are cold stamped, real deal Chandler Products CP-1038 bolts. "Flex Loc" nuts are machined exactly the way H-D, or their supplier did in the 1950's & 1960's before nylon lock nuts came along. We have these in a cadmium finish as well on another listing. Comes with all hardware shown, please study the pics.. Do note that the OEM# 4012 bolts are 1 1/8" long and were used through 1961. After that, H-D supplied OEM# 3974 bolts which are 3/4" long. If you prefer a set of the shorter bolts for your later bike, just let us know and we can swap those out at no charge. Just be clear that you need 3974 bolts instead of 4012 We also stock a lot of hardware for the "lunch box" equipped XLCH models. This is parkerized. These are made in small batches for perfect fit and accuracy. We do sell the lower mount hardware and upper hardware on other listings. We can put together a complete mounting kit if you need it for a small discount.
