Description: [Greco] 1978 EG-500S Sunburst Made in Japan Vintage LP Type Electric Guitar MOD Description A Les Paul type made by Greco, the EG-500S. This is a guitar that was made in 1978 and is called a Japanese vintage. Although there are some minor differences, this model is a copy of the Gibson Les Paul Standard. It has fret edge binding and is a carefully made guitar. The top is thinly laminated and has a semi-acoustic feel. The pickups are two original U-1000s. The guitar has been fully maintained by our repair department. - Full cleaning - Fret/fingerboard cleaning - Full setup (string height/truss rod adjustment/octave/pickup height) - Electrical system cleaning The neck is currently set up almost straight with a slight forward bow. The string height above the 12th fret is 1.7mm for the 6th string and 1.4mm for the 1st string. About 50-60% of the frets remain. The truss rod has room in both directions. The pegs were damaged, so they have been replaced with Kluson types by our repair department. The original pegs are also included. The front pickup's escutcheon screw holes are partially free-spinning, but this does not affect use. This guitar was manufactured over 40 years ago, so there are scratches and other marks due to age and use. A soft case is included.
