Description: Full Unused Ticket Chicago Cougars vs. Los Angeles Sharks 12/2/72 Amphitheatre Offered is a full unused ticket to the World Hockey Association game December 2, 1972 Chicago Cougars vs. Los Angeles Sharks at Chicago's International Amphitheatre. This was the Cougars inaugural season, their first of three. The Los Angeles Sharks played only two seasons before relocating to Detroit. The Amphitheatre, built in 1934, was Chicago's secondary indoor arena. located adjacent to Chicago's Union Stockyards, the building was best known for livestock events, auto shows, concerts, and political conventions. It was demolished in 1999. My dad was a season ticket holder for the Cougars inaugural season and would occasionally receive extra tickets such as this one. The ticket is in EX condition on the front with no flaws or markings. The reverse side has tape marks from being affixed to a scrapbook (see photos). It has been stored in a scrapbook and then a box for 51 years. A rare chance to own a piece of historical hockey / international Amphitheatre memorabilia.
