Made some for friends then offered them through Ebay for other GI Joe collectors and seven years later.... the rest is history. These are intended for GI Joe enthusiast who might want to replace those dry, brittle or missing helmet inserts. These inserts are cut from yellow foam that is about the same density as the original foam inserts found in the vintage helmets. Every effort has been made to cut these as close to original specs as I remember them to be, 1" diameter by a quarter inch thick. These look great in the Scramble, Pilot and Freefall helmets as well as the Astronaut helmet but could probably be used in any other 12" GI Joe helmets. I have sold hundreds of pairs of these pads to Collectors all over the country. Here is just some of their feedback.
