FLASK: Angraecum didieri SWEET & SPICY FRAGRANCE MINI TREATED orchid species

Description: Up for Sale: A flask of an outcross of Angraecum didieri. The auction flask is shown in the images with the tape measure and is growing in a 24 oz plastic container. It is a rewarding plant and great for windowsill, under lights or greenhouse. The nectary (or spur) is a bit over 5" long. These are fragrant at night and have a fabulous aroma that is detectable from 10 feet away. The blooming images are of the parents. Both of these are clones that have been in cultivation for decades. [3589]Contents: Approximately 25 seedlings that are ready to come out of flask. The Species: This species is from Madagascar where it grows in humid forest between 2000 to 5000 ft as an epiphyte. A wonderfully fragrant flower, it also is noted for its distinctive and beautiful silvery roots. Flowering time is late spring to summer. Culture: This plant is adaptable to a variety of growing conditions, but does best when the roots can dry quickly between waterings. I prefer to grow it mounted with little or no moss and water daily during the growing season. It can grow in intermediate or cool conditions. I give it a cooler, drier rest in the winter with just the occasional misting. Several years ago I gave a potted plant of this as a gift to a hostess and she bloomed it beautiful on her kitchen windowsill.
