Description: Disney's The Lion King Simba Melamine Plate & Glass, Zak Designs 1990s Here's a melamine plate and plastic glass by Zak Designs, featuring Disney's The Lion King Simba! They're from the 1990s. My daughter loved these, even more than her Barbie set! The plate has Simba with Timon, the meerkat, holding a ladybug, and on the bottom it reads "Zak Designs, Spokane, WA, Not for Microwave Use, Dishwasher Safe Top Rack, China". The glass has 2 different views of Simba. The plate is 7.75" in diameter and the glass is 4.25" tall. Both were in the dishwasher many times in the 1990s, and then were packed away until recently. You can see edge wear on the plate where the color has rubbed off, and there are a few rough spots. Also, there's some wear on the sides of the glass (the top edge is very smooth), mostly from the dishwasher. They are still very usable. I have a smoke free, pet free home.
