The design is sometimes mistaken as a spider-web coil but since it has no inner former spokes, it is called a diamond-weave. Please use Google for Crystal Radio schematics. See photos. To tune the broadcast band a 365pf variable capacitor is needed, not included.There are no loss causing formers, coil is self-supporting, air-wound, held together with q-dope glue and sprayed with crystal clear acrylic to strengthen the coil. Lead length is approximately 6”, and pre-tinned. This coil is wound using a 15-pin Kipgen former, a 36% increase over the 11-pin former, meaning more crossovers for better inductance performance, less inner capacitance. A 2.5-inch nylon screw and 3 nylon nuts are provided to mount the coil on your set. Each coil measured for proper inductance using an AADE L/C Meter IIB precision meter.
