Before leaving Budapest, Markus studied sculpting under renowned Hungarian artist Mohacsi Regos Ferenc. In 1978, Markus moved to America, settling in California. Taking inspiration from the Early Renaissance painters such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Rembrandt, Raphael, and Sandro Botticelli, the artist would study these great works with a passion.
