Description: This auction is for the original artwork by Jack Higgins for his Chicago Sun-Times editorial cartoon dated 1984. The artwork probably refers to the Chicago Board of Education notifying teachers in November, 1984 that they would begin deducting a portion of their medical insurance premiums from their paychecks. (Teachers threatened to strike over this.) The artwork measures approx. 11-3/4" x 15-1/8". This is the original artwork that Jack Higgins created. The artwork is in good condition - there are a few small marks/smudges/ light dirt on the art - the artist's work shows, with some minor corrections as the piece was crafted - on the back there is ink that has migrated from other artwork that was stored beneath it - on the back there are some notes written by layout editors. A NICE, ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE OF EDITORIAL ARTWORK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT FRAMED! When packed, this will ship at the 2 pound rate - check the postage calculator.
