Chaya Organically Grown 12" Cutting ready-Plant, Miracle Spinach Tree

Description: Cuttings are between 12" to 14" ready planted in a seedling bag, if you get a cutting with grown leaves, they may wither during transport, remove those leaves and freeze them or cook them inmediately. The cutting branch don't get affected, can be safetly planted in a pot or in the grown. The Chaya is very sturdy and resist short droughts. Chaya likes water, and shade when is small. After mature can be safely move to a sunny location. In coldest climates is recommended to keep the Chaya in a big pot protected from snow. As branches grow, you can cut about 10 inches of a branch and plant it next to the original plant. It makes great harvest once you reach about 10 branches. Make sure to trim big leaves and freeze them for later use. More you trim your plant, more leaves will produce. Organically Grown Live One Small Chaya cutting ready prepared planted, Miracle Spinach Tree, Superfood. The plant will spring roots in few weeks. Some already have roots. Keep it in the seedling bag. Just deposit it inside a fresh organic filled soil-pot, or in shaded area in the ground. Size will vary between 12 to 14 inches. Shipped with USPS priority mail , or parcel select ground. For international shipping, it takes longer than usual, and I don't have control after it leaves the US, but I monitor tracking until it reach destination. I'll send mature cuttings for International orders, the cuttings will reach destination with withered leaves, but just remove the leaves or cut one inch from the top and plant it inmediatamently in a pot or in the ground, preferably organic loose soil. Maintain moisture but not too damp. Some countries don't allow soil, or live plants, so I recommend to buy the cuttings. I will pack it with shreded moistured newspaper, or perlite to withstand the transit. According to the National Institute of Nutrition in Mexico City, ingesting chaya will: Improve blood circulation, help digestion, improve vision, disinflame veins and hemorrhoids, help lower cholesterol, help reduce weight, prevent coughs, augment calcium in the bones, decongest and disinfect the lungs, prevent anemia by replacing iron in the blood, improve memory and brain function and combat arthritis and diabetes. Nutritional analysis shows that Chaya is rich on iron more than spinach and a powerful source of potassium and calcium. It's also incredibly easy to grow and attractive addition to the garden with its maple-like leaves and tidy growth pattern. It limits itself to about six feet in height. After the plant is strong and healthy, If you plant it with full sun, it will grow to a very large tall tree. But its leaves will grow smaller. Kind of as a "mother tree" to reproduce the species. Plant a row close together and you'll soon have a hedge. The plants tend to be open toward the bottom, so you can create a border with low- and medium-growing herbs. To grow your own, stake branches in organic fertile loose soil, with good drainage, and water regularly. It grows well in a median annual temperature of 25 C. or higher, and at altitudes of 0 to 1000 meters above sea level. In regions with lower temperatures will develop small leaves, but the plant can sustain temperatures bellow 10 degrees region under roof with good light In some states it is called chaya col or chaya Mansa. The botanical name is Cnidoscolus chayamansa. Start harvesting as soon as you see a couple of new leaves sprouted. Cutting encourages new growth, and the branches are pretty in flower arrangements. The leaves are pretty bland, so you can add them to soups, casseroles, spaghetti sauces, salsas and salads without affecting the taste. The tiny, tender ones can go in omelets or salads or be used as garnish. The larger ones are best chopped and cooked long and slow. For medicinal benefits brew a tea from dry chopped branches. For one cup of tea use about 2 table spoons of dry Chaya, add lemon, fresh mint and honey to enrich its flavor. For a liter of tea, use 10 medium size leaves with whatever blend you favor. I like two bags of black tea with two bags of mint and the chaya leaves, "cooked" in a glass bottle, cool it down for a couple of hours and then refrigerated. Warning: In cooking or serving, Do not use aluminum containers, as a toxic reaction can result, causing diarrhea. Use pottery or glass.
